After relocating to Germany on a spouse visa, I decided to further my education. I applied for a Master’s program in International Business to enhance my academic and professional skills.
What were the considerations when continuing your education and picking a master’s degree and university?
When considering continuing my education and selecting a Master’s degree program and university, several factors came into play. Firstly, the language of instruction was crucial, and I opted for an English-taught program to ensure I could fully comprehend and engage with the coursework.
Secondly, I carefully reviewed the modules offered in the program to ensure they aligned with my academic and career goals in International Business. I needed to choose a program that provided a comprehensive and relevant curriculum.
The university’s location also played a significant role in my decision-making process. I wanted to study in a vibrant and culturally rich city, which would enhance my overall experience as an international student in Germany.

Internship Experience in the FMCG Sector:
During my internships at PepsiCo GmbH in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, I’ve held various roles encompassing supply chain and financial planning and analysis:
As a Warehouse Coordinator and Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) Intern, my responsibilities include maintaining daily warehouse stock check files, analyzing customer portfolio flows, updating stock levels, supporting projects like donations to Ukraine, handling ad hoc tasks from the supply chain team, coordinating Minimum Holding Date (MHD)/Best Before Date (BBD) blocking, onboarding new team members on SAP tasks, and managing Intermediate Document (IDOC) conversions.
In my previous roles as a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Intern and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Intern, I focused on financial planning, analysis, and supply chain finance tasks such as product profit and loss (P&L) preparation, demand forecast management, customer-specific P&Ls, monthly and annual financial statements, and support in forecast preparation and implementation.
These internships have given me a comprehensive understanding of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector operations, ranging from supply chain logistics to financial analysis and planning.
How do you manage your responsibilities as a master’s student while working as an intern?
